1951 Sep. Japan’s first commercial radio broascast, commenced at 6:30 a.m. on the first day of the month
1952 Jan. Japan’s first private Sumo broadcast
1956 Nov. CBC Hall (now head office building of CBC) completed
1956 Dec. Television broadcasting commenced
1960 Jun. 1st All Japan Amateur / Professional Golf Tournament (now THE CROWNS) broadcast
1960 Oct. Listed on Nagoya Stock Exchange
1966 Jun. The Beatles invited to Japan to stage a concert
1971 Nov. Radio wave output increased from 10kW to 50kW
1974 Dec. JNN Roma Bureau opend as base for newsgathering activities in Europe
1983 Jul. TV sound multiplex broadcasting service commenced
1986 Apr. Tokai region’s first teletext broadcast commenced
