Crazy for Carp!

Crazy for Carp!

Narita Koi Farm sells beautiful and high-grade NISHIKI-GOI (carps).
The farm was in financial difficulties in 2005 from disease and the decline of domestic market of carp. However two years later, a successor to the farm, Ryuji Narita shifted a target from Japanese customers to foreign customers, and they showed a V-shaped recovery. This strategy was also fitted to the trend of Cool Japan directed by Japanese Government.
Since Narita knows that his business is not managed without foreign customers, he sent every single son to foreign countries to learn practical English from childhood.
One day, Narita gets information that a quite high-grade carp worth a hundred million yen will be sold at auction, and he tries to get it at any cost…
This is the documentary of a great CEO and a father of five, who runs international business with his partners; KOI.
